Dua Taj (Crown)

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) used to carry this Dua in battles and in all difficulties. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.), what is the reward of this supplication for one who carries it and one who recites it? And what calamites and problems would be deflected by it?

The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said: O companions, indeed this supplication is the crown supplication and as for its acceptance, some people have named it the mediation of the prophets. One who carried it achieved bounties. This supplication benefits, by the leave of Allah, against the evil eye and anxiety, and fever, migraine, throbbing ache, and epidemics, and love and obedience, and entry to the rulers, kings, ministers, judges and governors, trustees and the government officers, and the ransom of slaves and insomnia, and difficulty of childbirth. It is beneficial for backache, suffocation (pressure) of the chest, and journey on the land and the sea and for the women who are pregnant, and for peace between man and wife and for joining the iron and for the reining of wolf, and the barking of dog, and the seeking of sustenance and the sorrowful souls, and for separation and blood and from the snakes and the scorpion and from the trampling of Jinn and the trampling of Satans and the plans of the enemies and the greedy ones, and for nullification of magic and plots and defrauding and if it is hung on a tree it will become fruitful by the leave of Allah and if it is hung on the domestic quadruped it would be safe from beasts and wolves, by the leave of Allah.

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who carries it for forty days would be cured and he said: O companions, verily Allah, Gloried and the High, in it has bestowed to Sulaiman bin Dawood the kingdom of the world and in it bestowed to Prophet Yusuf kingdom of Egypt and in it helped Ali bin Abi Talib in exterminating the infidels and helped Muhammad al-Mustafa on the day of the confederation[2] and in it the iron softened for Dawood.

It is also good for business, and you who carries my book I have sealed it by the seal of Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, by the seal (ring) of Sulaiman bin Dawood by which he secured submission of Satans and men by this writing. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: Congratulations to one who carries it and woe to the one who denies and falsifies it; and the supplication is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَساَلُكَ يَا اللهُ يَا اللهُ
O Allah! Indeed I ask You O Allah, O Allah,
يَا رحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيْمُ
O Beneficent, O Merciful,
يَا حَلِيْمُ يَا كَرِيْمُ
O Forbearing, O Noble,
يَا قَدِِيْمُ يَا مُدِيْمُ
O Eternal, O Everlasting,
يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا اللهُ
O Greatest, O Allah,
يَا خَيْرَ مَسْؤُوْلٍ وَ اَكْرَمَ مأْمُوْلٍ
O the best of the responder, and the most exalted of those in whom hopes are reposed.
يَا مَنْ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَالثَّنَاءُ
O One for Whom is the praise and the glorification,
بِيَدِهِ الْفَقْرُ وَالْغِنَاءُ
in Whose control is poverty and wealth,
وَ لَهُ اْلاَسْماءُ الْحُسْنٰی
and for Him are the most beautiful names.
لاَ مانِعَ لِمَنْ اَعْطٰی
None can hinder what He bestows,
وَ لاَ مُضِلَّ لِمَنْ هَدٰی
and none can mislead Whom He guides.
يَفْعَلُ فِيْ مُلْكِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ
He does in His kingdom what He likes.
رَبُّ اْلاَرْبَابِ وَ مُعْتِقُ الرِّقَابِ
Lord of the lords, the releaser of the necks (from slavery).
ذُوا الْقُوَّةِ الْقَاهِرَةِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ البَاهِرةِ
One with the power of compulsion, and the dazzling greatness.
مَالِكِ الدُّنْيَا وَاْلآخِرةِ
Owner of the world and the Hereafter.
اَساَلُكَ بِاِحْطِيَاطِ قَافْ
I ask You by “Ih’tiyaati Qaaf”
وَ بِهَوْلِ يَوْمِ الْمَخَافِ
and by “Howli Yaumil Mukhaaf”,
بِالزُّخْرُفِ بالطُّوْرِ بالرِّقِّ الْمَنْشُوْرِ
by Zukhruf, by Tur, by the parchment that is spread out,
بِالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُوْرِ بِالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوْعِ
by the appointed House, by the high sky,
وَ بالبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُوْرِ بِضَوْءِ الْقَمَرِ
by the flowing sea by the glows of the moon,
بِشُعَاعِ الشَّمْسِ بِضَوْءِ النَّهَارِ
by the rays of the sun, by the light of the day,
بِظلاَمِ اللَّيْلِ بِدَوِىِّ الْمَاءِ
by the darkness of the night by the sound of water,
بِخَيْرَاتِ اْلاَرْضِ بحَفِيْفِ الشَّجَرِ
by the good of the earth. By the rustling of the trees,
بِعُلُوِّ السَّمَاءِ بِهُبُوْطِ اْلاَرْضِ
by the height of the heavens, by the lowliness of the earth,
بِجَرَيَانِ البَحْرِ بِعَجَائِبِ الدُّنْيَا
by the flowing of the sea, by the strange happenings of the world
بِنَفْخِ الصُّوْرِ
by blowing of the horn,
بِلُغَاتِ الطُّيُوْرِ
by languages of the birds,
بِنُوْرِ الصَّبَاحِ
by effulgence of the morning,
بِالْخَمْسَةِ اْلاَشْبَاحِ
by the five holy personages,
بِمَكْنُوْنِ سِرِّكَ بِوَفَاءِ عَهْدِكَ
by Your hidden secrets, by fulfillment of Your promise,
بِعِلْمِكَ
by Your knowledge,
بِالشَّمْسِ وَ ضُحَاهَا
by the sun and its brilliance
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلاَهَا
and the moon when it follows the sun,
والنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلاَّهَا
and the day when it shows it,
وَاللَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشَاهَا
and night when it draws a veil over it,
وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا
and heaven and Who made it
وَالاَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا
and the earth and Who extended it.
وَ نَفْسٍ وَّ مَا سَوَّاهَا
And the soul and Who made it perfect,
وَ اَلْهَمَهَا فُجُوْرَهَا وَ تَقْوَاهَا
then inspired it to understand right and wrong,
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا
He will indeed be successful who purifies it.
وَ قَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا
And he will indeed fail who corrupts it.
بِقُرْبِ الْجنَّةِ
By the proximity of Paradise,
بِبُعْدِ النَّارِ
by the distance of the Fire,
وَ عَدْلِ الْمِيْزَانِ
and the justice of the balance,
بِهَدِيْرِ الرَّعْدِ
by the thundering of the thunder,
بِلْمَعَاتِ الْبَرْقِ
by the flashing of the lighting,
بِرَقْدَةِ اَهْلِ الْكَهْفِ
by the sleeping of the people of the cave,
بِفَطَرَةِ اْلاِسْلاَمِ
by the nature of Islam,
بِزَمْزَْمَ وَالْمَقَامِ
by the Zamzam and the ‘Place’
وَالْحَجِّ اِلٰی بَيْتِ اللهِ الْحَرَامِ
and the Hajj to the sanctified House of Allah,
بِسِرِّ يُوْسُفَ بِطُوْرِ سِيْنَاءِ
by the secret of Yusuf, by the mount of Sinai,
بِسُوْرَةِ يٰس بِاْلاَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
by the Surah Yasin, by the prophets and the messengers,
بِحُلَّةِ آدَمَ بِتَاجِ حَوَّاءَ
by the garment of Adam, by the crown of Eve,
بِحُلَّةِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ بِكَبْشِ اِسْمَاعِيْلَ
by the garment of Ibrahim, by the ram of Ismail,
بِنَاقَةِ صَالِحِ بِعَصَا مُوسٰی
by the camel of Salih, by the staff of Musa,
بِاِنْجِيْلِ عِيْسٰی بِزَبُوْرِ دَاؤُدَ
by the Injeel of Isa, by the Psalms of Dawood,
بِفُرْقَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِ و اٰلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
by the Criterion of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny
بِرُقْعَةِ اِدْرِيْسَ بِدَعْوَةِ جَرْجِيْسَ
By the letter of Idris, by the invitation of Jirjis
بِسَفِيْنَةِ نُوْحٍ بِسِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهٰی
by the Ark of Nuh, by the farthest lote tree,
بِجَنَّةِ الْمَاْوٰی بِاللَّوْحِ الْمَحْفُوْظِ
by the Jannatul Maawa, by the protected tablet,
بِمَا جَرَی بِهِ القَلَمُ
by which the pen began to write on it.
بِنُوْرِ الظَّلاَّمِ
By the light of the darknesses,
وَالشَّابِّ وَالْمَرَامِ
by the youth and old age,
بِشَهْرٍ عَاشُوْرَاءِ
by the month of Ashura
بِسَاعَاتِ الدُّهُوْرِ
by the hours of the times,
بِالْفَلَكِ الَّذِىْ يَدُوْرُ
by the heavens that rotate
بِالصُّدُوْرِ وَمَا حَوَتْ
in the breasts and what is surrounding it,
وَ بِاْلاَنْفُسِ الزَّكِيَّةِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْ
and by the purified souls, and what it does,
وَاْلاَقْلاَمِ وَمَا دَارَتْ
and by the pens, and what they circled
وَالنُّجُوْمِ وَمَا سَارَتْ…
and by the stars which rotate,
بِحُرُوْفِ الْقُرْآنِ بِسُوْرَةِ الدُّخَانِ
by the letters of Quran, by the Surah Dukhan,
بِعَزائِمِ الْجَانِّ بِمُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانِ
by the spells recited on Jinns, by the kingdom of Sulaiman,
بِحِكْمَةِ لُقْمَانِ بِعَدْلِ الْمِيْزَانِ
by the wisdom of Luqman, by the justice of the balance,
بِفَرَقِ الطُّوْفَانِ بِتَغلِيْبِ الدُّوْلِ
by the calming of the storm, by the domination of the kingdoms,
بِاِخْتِلاَفِ الْمِلَلِ بِقُرْبِ اْلاَجَلِ
by the variety of the nations, by the proximity of the death,
بِصَالِحِ الْعَمَلِ
bis’aalih’il a’mali
بِالدُّعَاءِ اِذَا اِرْتَفَعَ وَالْقَضَاءِ
by the supplications when they rise up and are accepted.
اِذَا نَزِلَ وَاحْفَظْ حِامِلَ كِتَابِىْ
When they come down, and protect the carrier of this writing.
هٰذَا يَا اللهُ يَا وَدُوْدُ.
O Allah, O most loving.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad.
يَا مَنْ اِسْمُهُ مِنَ اْلاَسْمَاءِ مَفْرُوْدٌ
O One Whose name is from the names that are Unique,
يَا مُجِيْبَ دَعْوَةَ هُوْدٍ
O One Who answers the call of Hud.
يَا مُؤْنِسَ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِيْنَ بِاللُّحُوْدِ
O One Who is a friend of One who is terrified in the grave.
يَا مَنْ اَخْرَجَنَا مِنَ الرَّحِمِ إِلَی الْوُجُوْدِ
O One Who took us out from the wombs to existence.
يَا مُضْرِمَ ذَاتِ الوُقُوْدِ
O One Who kindles the fuels.
يَا مَنْ بَقاؤُهُ غَيْرُ مَِحْدُوْدٍ
O One Whose existence is limitless
يَا مُفْدِى اْلاَطْفَالِ بِالْمُهُوْدِ
O One Who ransoms the children in their cradles,
يَا صَادِقَ الوَعْدِ وَالْوَعُوْدِ
O Fulfiller of promise and threat.
يَا مَنْ تَقَدَّسَ بِاِسْمِهِ الصَّخْرُ وَالْجَلْمُوْدُ
O One by Whose name hallow the stone and the rock:
يَا اللهُ اَللَّهُمَّ اَبْعِدْ حَامِلَ كتَابِىْ
O Allah! Keep away from the carrier of this writing,
هٰذَا شَرَّ الْجِنِّ وَاْلإنْسِ وَ شِدَّتِهِ
mischief of the Jinns and men, and its severity,
وَالْمَوْتِ وَ قَبْضَتِهِ
and death and its capturing,
وَاْلآخِرَةِ وَ دَرَجَتِهِ
and the Hereafter and its grades (or levels)
وَالْقَبْرِ وَ ظُلْمَتِهِ
and the grave and its darkness.
وَالتُّرَابِ وَدِيَّتِهِ وَالدُّوْدِ وَ هُوِيَّتِهِ
And the soil and its decaying and the worm and its nature,
وَ مُنْكَرٍ وَ نَكِيْرٍ وَ مُحَاسَبَتِهِ
and Munkir and Nakeer and their interrogation,
وَالْجَانِ وَدَوْسَنِهِ
and the Jinns and their fear,
وَالسَّيْفِ وَ خَرقَتِهِ
and the sword and its slashing,
والرُّمْحِ وَ طَعْنَتِهِ
and the arrows and its piercing
وَالْخِنْجَرِ وَ دَكَّتِهِ
and the dagger and its stab.
وَالقَوْسِ وَ رَمْيَتِهِ
And the bow and its throwing
وَالسُّمِّ وَ ضَبْيَتِهِ
and the poison and its lethal nature.
وَالسِّكِّيْنِ وَ سِنتِه
And the Knife and its edge
وَالسَّبْعِ وَ عَضَّتِهِ
and the lion and its bite,
وَالْكَلْبِ وَ نَبْحَتِهِ
and the dog and its barking,
وَالذِّئْبِ وَ هَدْرَتِهِ
and the wolf and its howl,
وَالْحَرَامِ وَ سَطْوَتِهِ
and falsehood and its force
وَالْحَيَّةِ وَلَسْعَتِهَا
and the snake and its bite,
وَالْعَقْرَبِ وَلَدْغَتِهَا
and the scorpion and its sting,
الْتَابِِعَةِ وَ اَذْيَتِهَا
and his followers and its pain,
وَالْوَلِدِ وَ فُقْدَتِهِ
and the son and his absence,
و اَعْيَذُ حَامِلَ كِتَابِى
and protect the carrier of this book
هٰذَا مِنْ شَرِّ الرَّيْبِ وَالْمنُوْنِ
from the mischief of doubts and instigations,
و لَحْظَاتِ العُيُوْنِ فِيْ كلِّ حَركةٍ وَ سُكوْن
and the blinking of the eyes in every movement and rest.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad
وَاحْفِظْ حَامِلِ كِتَابِىْ
and protect the carrier of this writing
هٰذَا مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ جَنِّىّ وَ جَنِّيَّةٍ
from all the mischief of the male and female Jinns
وَ غُوْلَ وَ غُوْلِيَّةٍ
and the male and female ghouls
وَ مَارِدٍ وَ مَارِدِيَّةٍ
and the male and female rebels
وَ اِبْلِيْسٍ وَ اِبْلِيْسِيّة
and the male and female Iblis,
وَ مُسْلِمٍ وَ مُسْلِمَةٍ
and the male and female Muslims,
وَ مَنْ يُفرِّقُ بَيْنَ الزَّوْجِ وَالزَّوْجَةِ
and from that who creates dissensions between husband and wife
وَالْوَلَدِ وَ اَبيهِِ
and between father and son,
وَاْلاِبْنَةِ وَ اُمُّهَا
and daughter and mother
وَاْلاُخْتِ وَ اُخْتِهَا
and between two sisters.
اَللَّهُمَّ اصْرِفْ عَنْ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ
O Allah, deflect from the carrier of this book
هٰذَا شَرَّ الْبَلاَءِ وَالْبَلِيَّةِ
the mischief of calamities and troubles
وَالسُّيُوْفِ الْهِنْدِيَةِ
and the swords of India
وَالرِّمَاحِ الْخَطِيَّةِ
and the unerring aims
وَالْقِسِيْ الْمَحْنِيَّةِ
and the bows that are poised
وَالسِّهَامِ الْمَرْمِيَّةِ
and the arrows that are thrown
وَالْحَرْبَاتِ الْجَلْمُوْدِيَّةِ
and the attacks of the rocks
وَالسَّاعَاتِ الرَّدِيَّةِ
and the bad omens.
اَللَّهُمَّ ادْفَعْ عَنْ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
O Allah, deflect from the carrier of this writing
كُلُّ رَدِيَّةٍ وَ اَعِيْذُةُ مِنْ شَرِّ رَصْدٍ مَطْغًا وَ نَمْرُوْدَ
all the evils and protect him from the mischief of the rebellious ambushers and Nimrod
وَ اَعِيْذُ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
And protect the carrier of this writing
مِنْ شَرِّ الْجُنُوْنِ وَالتِّحْرِيْكِ وَالدَّوِّىِّ
from the mischief of madness and its movements and its shrieks.
وَ اَعِيْذُهُ مِنْ شَرِّ اِبْلِيْسَ الْقَوِىِّ
And I seek refuge from the mischief of Iblis the powerful
وَ اَشْيَاعِهِ وَ اَتْبَاعِهِ وَ اَوْلاَدِهِ وَ اَعْوَانِهِ وَ خُدَّامِهِ
and his followers and his devotees and his children and his helpers and his servants
مِنَ الْخَوَاصَّةِ وَالْقُمَرِيَّةِ الْمُسْتَرِقَّةِ وَالسَّمْعِ وَالْمِلَلِ
from the special ones and the intermittent light of the moon and the audible sounds and discomfort
وَ اَعِيْذُهُ بِقُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
And I seek refuge by: Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men.
مَلِكِ النَّاسِ اِلٰهِ النَّاسِ
The King of men. The God of men.
مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ..
From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan)
الَّذِیْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ
Who whispers into the hearts of men
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ
From among the jinn and the men.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِحُرْمَةِ اْلآيَاتِ الْكَرِيْمَةِ الْعَظِيْمَةِ
O Allah, I ask You by the sanctity of the glorified and high verses,
اَنْ تَحْفَظْ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
that You protect the carrier of this writing
مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ذِىْ شَرٍّ
from the evil of every evil thing.
اَللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْهُ فِيْ كُلِّ بَرٍّ وَ بَحْرٍٍ
O Allah, protect him on the lands and the sea
وَ اُعِيْذُهُ بِاْلاِسْمِ الَّذِىْ نَزَلَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيْلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ
and give him refuge by the name with which He sent Jibraeel, peace be upon him,
عَلٰی نَبِيِّنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاودُ
to our Prophet, Sulaiman bin Dawood
وَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِ و اٰلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
and Muhammad, blessing of Allah be on him and his progeny and His greetings
وَ اُعِيْذُهُ بِاْلاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ فَلَقَ بِهِ الْبَحْرُ لِمُوْسٰی بْنُ عِمْرَانَ
And give him refuge by the name by which the sea split for Musa bin Imran
وَ بِاْلاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ اَنارَ بِهِ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ
and by the name, by which He lighted the sun and the moon,
وَ بِاْلاِسْمِ الَّذِىْ تُكَلِّمَ بِهِ عِيْسٰی بْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيْ الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا
and by the name by which He made Isa bin Maryam to speak in the cradle in infancy,
وَ اَحيَا بِهِ الْمَوْتٰی
and enlivened the dead
وَ اَبْرَاَ بِهِ اْلاَكْمَهَ وَاْلاَبْرَصَ
and cured the blind and the lepers.
وَ بِاْلإسْمِ الَّذِیْ نَجَا بِهِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ مِنْ نَارِ النَّمْرُوْدِ
And by the name by which He saved Ibrahim from fire of Nimrod
وَ ذُلَّ بِهِ اِبْلِيْسُ اللَّعِيْنُ
and degraded by it the accursed Iblis.
وَ اَعِيْذُهُ بِاْلاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ رَدَّ اللهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ اَبِيْ طَالِبٍ
And protect him by the name by which Allah aided Ali Ibne Abi Talib
فِيْ قَتْلِهِ الْكُفَّارَ
in destroying the infidels
وَ اُعِيْذُهُ بِمَا كُتِبَ عَلٰی خَاتَمِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاؤُدَ
and give him refuge by what is written on the ring of Sulaiman bin Dawood.
وَ اُعِيْذُهُ بِكُلِّ اِسْمٍ سَمَّاهُ اللهُ بِهِ
And by all the names by which Allah is named,
وَ اَخَصَّ بِهِ اَنْبِيَائِهِ وَ رُسُلِهِ وَ مَلاَءِكَتِهِ
and made it special with His prophets and His messengers and His Angels
اَللَّهُمَّ إنِّیْ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِحَامِلِ هٰذِهِ اْلاَحْرُفِ
O Allah, indeed I ask You that You appoint the carrier of these letters,
كَرَامَةَ جَبْرَئِيْلُ
the miracle of Jibraeel,
وَ مُهمَّة اِسْرَافِيْلُ
and the importance of Israfeel,
وَ قُبُوْلَ مُحَمَّدٍ
and the acceptance of Muhammad.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِحَامِلِ هٰذِةِ الْحِرْزِ
O Allah, appoint for the carrier of this amulet,
هَيْبَةٌ وَ قُبُوْلٌ وَ بِيَدِهِ
awe and acceptance and in his hand
سَيْفٌ النَّصْرِ مَسْلُوْلٌ
is the sword of help pulled out for action
وَ اِذْلاَلِ البَشَرِ مِنْ كُلِّ اُنْثٰی وَ ذَكَرٍ
And the insults of humans all the females and males
وَ كبِيْرٍ وَ صَغِيْرٍ وَ غَنِىٍّ وَ فَقِيْرٍ
the big and the small, the rich and the poor,
وَ اَمِيْرٍ وَ مُشِيْرٍ وَ صَاحِبٍ وَ وَزِيْرٍ
the ruler and the adviser, the master and the minister,
بِإِذْنِ الْمَلِكِ الْقَدِيْرِ
by the permission of the powerful king
ذَلِّلِ الْخَلْقَ وَالْبَشَرَ
the one Who holds sway over the creatures and men
مِنْ اُمَّةِ رَبِيْعَةٍ وَ مُضَر
from the tribes of Rabi and Mudar
كَمَا ذَلَّلْتَ لِلْحِصَانِ
like You subdued and the forts
وَالطَّريْقِ اللِّسَانُ وَالْمَيِّتِ الْكَفَانُ
and the paths of the tongue, and the shrouding of the dead.
ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰی عَلَی السَّمَاءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ
Then He directed Himself to the heaven and it is a vapor,
فَقَالَ لَهَا وَاْلاَرْضِ
so He said to it and to the earth:
ءَاتِيَا طَوْعًا اَوْ كَرْهًا
come both, willingly or unwillingly.
قَالَتَا اَتَيْنَا طَائِعِيْنِ
They both said: We come willingly
كَذَالِكَ اَللَّهُمَّ اَطِعَ لِحَامِلِ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
In the same way, O Allah, bestow to the carrier of this writing
جَمِيْعَ الْخَلْقِ وَالْبَشَرِ مِنْ حَامِلِ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
all the creatures and humans from the carriers of this writing
شَرَّ كُلِّ اَنْوَاعٍ الْبَلاَءِ الْعَظِيْمِ
every type of serious calamities.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْاَلُكَ يَا رَافِعَ السَّمَاءِ
O Allah, indeed I ask You, O raiser of the heavens
اَنْ تُعِيْذَ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
give refuge to the carrier of this writing
مِنْ كُلِّ اُنْثٰی وَ ذَكَر
from all females and males
مِنْ اُمَّةِ رَبِيْعَةٍ وَ مُضَرٍ،
from the tribes of Rabi and Mudar.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَلَّفْ بَيْنَ حَامِلِ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
O Allah, appoint love between the carrier of this book
وَ بَيْنَ بَنِىْ آدَمَ وَ بَنَاتِ حَوَّاءَ
and between sons of Adam and daughters of Eve,
كَمَا اَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ الشَّمْسِ وَالنَّارِ
like You have appointed love between the Sun and the fire.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَلَّفْ بَيْنَ حَامِلِ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
O Allah, appoint love between the carrier of this writing
وَ بَيْن قُلُوْبِ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
and the hearts of Your righteous servants
عَلٰی صُحْبَةِ حَامِلِ هٰذَا الْحِرْزِ الْمُبَارَكِ
upon companionship of the carrier of this blessed amulet.
وَاصْرِفْ عَنْهُ كُلَّ فَاجِرٍ وَ فَاجِرَةٍ
And take away from him every male and female transgressor,
سَاحِرٍ وَ سَاحِرَةٍ
male and female sorcerer,
وَ كُلَّ خَائِنٍ وَ خَائِنَةٍ
every male and female defalcator
وَ اُعِيْذُ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا
and give refuge to the carrier of this writing
مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ اَنْوَاعِ الْبَلاَءِ الْعَظِيْمِ
from the mischief of all types of great calamities.
اَللَّهُمَّ إنِّیْ اَسْاَلُكَ
O Allah, indeed I ask You,
يَا رَافِعَ السَّمَاءِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ
O raiser of the heavens without pillars
وَ بَاسِطَ اْلاَرْضِينِ
and the spreader of the earths
عَلَی مَاءٍ جُمَدٍ
on stagnant water
وَ اَكْمَلْتَ الْجِبَالَ الرَّاسِيَاتِ بِِالْوِتَادِ
and You perfected the standing mountains by the tent-pegs,
وَ اَنْزَلْتَ مَاءَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ
and You sent down the water from the clouds.
يَا مَنْ لاَ تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ اللُّغَاتِ
O One Whom words cannot describe.
وَ يَا مَنْ لاَ تَخْفٰی عَلَيْهِ اْلاَصْوَاتُ
O One from Whom voices are not concealed.
يَا رَبَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ الرُّوْحَانِيَّةِ
O Lord of the angels and spirits.
يَا خَالِقَ الْخَلْقِ وَالآْيَاتِ
O Creator of creatures and signs.
يَا مُتَكَلِّمُ بِلاَ لِسَانٍ وَلاَ اُذُنٍ
O One Who speaks without a tongue and hears without ears.
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَخْفٰی عَلَيْهِ
O One from Whom nothing is hidden
خَافِيَةٌ فِيْ اْلاَرْضِ وَلاَ فِيْ السَّمَاءِ
neither in the earth nor in heavens.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تَحْفَظَ
O Allah, indeed I ask You that You protect
حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ
the carrier of this book from all the evil
بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ
for the sake of Muhammad
وَ عَلِىٍّ
and Ali
وَ فَاطِمَةَ
and Fatima
وَ خَدِيْجَةَ الْكُبْرٰی
and Khadijatul Kubra
وَالْحَسَنِ الزَّكِىِّ
and Hasan the pure
وَالْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيْدِ
and Husain, the martyr
وَ عَلِىِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ
and Ali bin Al-Husain
وَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَاقِرِ
and Muhammad al-Baqir
وَ جَعْفَرٍ الصَّادِقِ
and Ja’far as-Sadiq
وَ مُوْسٰی الْكَاظِمِ
and Musa al-Kazim
وَ عَلىٍِّ بْنِ مُوْسٰی الرِّضَا
and Ali bin Musa ar-Reza
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ الْجَوَادِ
and Muhammad bin Ali al-Jawwad
وَ عَلِىٍّ الْهَادِىْ
and Ali al-Hadi
وَالْحَسَنِ الْعَسْكَرِىْ
and Hasan Al-Askari
و اَبُوْ صَالِحِ الْمَهْدِىْ
and Abu Salih al-Mahdi,
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
May Allah bless them all.
وَ اُعِيْذُُ حَامِلَ كِتَابِىْ هٰذَا بِاَلْفِ
And give refuge to the carrier of this book a thousand fold.
لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ
There is no power and might
إِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِيْمِ
except by Allah, the Exalted and the Mighty.
